The Review
Saltburn is a wild ride that the trailer didn’t prepare me for. It follows a series of events as 1 student is invited to an eccentric classmates family estate for a very memorable summer.
It’s a psychological thriller and you can work out “who done it” relatively early on, but the complexity and depth comes from the how, the why, world it’s set in, the characters, and wondering exactly how far things will go with twists and turns a plenty.
Less mainstream more arthouse. Interesting, confronting at times, highlighting the inequalities in both status and intelligence. But who will win.
A brilliant cast creating an immersive experience that draws you into the spiders web.
An interesting film, twisted, dark and with some quite funny moments…. Quite engaging.
PS.... Might be worth reading Wuthering Heights.
